I’m posting excerpts from a forthcoming book of creative prompts and exercises. The point of the book (and this space) is to inspire people to create. I’m often thinking about where inspiration comes from and what it takes to start and finish creative things. Sometimes the creative act is quick and over forever; sometimes its years in the making. Either way, it starts with a start.

My challenge to you (and myself) is to keep making things with an uncritical enthusiasm. I’m generally unconcerned about where the creative spark comes from. I just wanna stay close to it and respect it. Hopefully these ideas will charge you up to do something great.
